Gail Dornan, B.N., M.Sc.,Aud(c)
Helping folks hear and communicate is Gail’s passion. She joined the Avenir team as an audiologist at the beginning of 2017, and has loved the opportunity she has to meet a huge variety of people and hear about their fascinating life experiences.
Before coming to Avenir, Gail worked as a clinical audiologist at Horizon Health Network for 27 years, which included many areas of audiology with pediatrics and adults. Prior to that she was an active nurse in ICU and the emergency departments.
Gail believes her career in Nursing prepared her to view Avenir’s clients in a holistic manner, and has helped her to better understand the challenges hearing impaired people face daily. She have a special interest in evaluating and counseling clients with tinnitus, and she loves the challenge of helping them through their aural rehabilitation.
A dedicated runner, Gail has competed in over 14 marathons, including New York and Boston for 4 finishes, and loves the social nature of running and hanging with her friends over many miles of pavement. She also loves spending weekends with her family watching the sunset on the Saint John river.
